Gluten Free Fried Tofu

Ingrediates

  1. Firm Tofu
  2. 2 TBsp tamari
  3. 4 TBsp arrow root (or other gluten free starch)
  4. 1 Tsp salt
  5. 4 cups water

Step 1: Prepare the tofu

  1. Rinse tofu
  2. Cut the tofu into cubes
  3. Place cubes into a pot with 1tsp salt and 4 cups water
  4. Bring to boil.
  5. Cover and boil for 2-3 min
  6. Strain the tofu and let cool
  7. Put tofu on towel to dry

Step 2: Fry the tofu

  1. Put 2 TBsp arrow root on plate
  2. Beat an egg in a separate bowl
  3. Put tofu in a bowl and cover with 2 TBsp of tamari.
  4. Cover tofu with half the egg and coat tofu
  5. Place the tofu on the plate with starch. Or slowly add the starch to the egg and tofu.
    1. If on the plate put more starch on top of tofu
  6. Fill the bottom of a small pan with oil. Fry both sides of the tofu.
  7. Put tofu paper towel after frying is complete.

  • Fry garlic
  • Add veggies
  • Add tofu
  • Season
